E toll is comming and this is the reality of life,so says the cabinet spokesman and GCIS CEO Jimmy Manyi. The Govrenment threatens that people that are disobient towards the e toll will have to face the law.Our Govrenment erges all South Africans that use the freeways to buy their e-tag which will ''only cost 550 for light vehicles''the gorvenment stresses that the e toll will not affecet the poor citizens as''commuter public transport and busses remain exempt from the e toll''(The Citizen) so is the gorvenment admitting to ripping-off the more ''fortunate citizens''?how unfortunate for them. But why is the taxi and bus industry excluded from the e toll?,the taxi indusry for one is that  robbes our poor societies for example, when the petrol prices goes up they do not hesitate to up their taxi prices, but when the petrol price decreases their prices remain high, now why does our gorvenment exclude them?.To what good use will this money be put?.On the 7th of march 100.000 people from the gauteng province most of which were COSATU members went on strike and blocked the roads, expressing their disagreement with the gorvenment. But today(9 MARCH 2012,morning addition Y fm) on the news our president came out and ''said e toll is not going anywhere''.

  1. The government is putting strain on citizens, as these e tolling systems cost a lot and will impact on the finances of most south africans. especially those who travel daily from Pretoria to johannesburg, in my opinion I feel that the government should rethink this whole e-tolling system operation
